Alien robots invading down under?

Check out these incredible pics taken in Perth, Australia and posted on Flickr.  WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?

It looks like it MOVED from one pic to the other.  Am I losing it?  Please tell me it’s just a crane.  A water tower!  (A water tower in the water?  Please just humor me, TRED-heads.)  I know, maybe it’s an oil well– yes, it must be an oil well.  A giant, flexible, multi-jointed, living oil well.  It is certainly NOT an alien robot, right?. . . BUT WAIT — there’s more—-

Because just as I was about to crawl under the covers, drink some soothing hot chocolate, and watch the latest episode of Attack of the Show on DVR to get my mind off it all, I found THIS pic, also from Australia, this one in Sydney:

Now I know it’s called Down Under, but I didn’t think they were referring to the location of a duel between two Unidentified Fighting  Objects. Can someone PLEASE tell me what they see below that  bridge? Or should I just have my mom call the men in the white coats  to take me away now, and tell Sharkatron to find a new roomie for freshman year?

That’s just super creepy. It doesn’t even to seem to notice the guy taking its picture.
So much for giant alien robots appearing only in the northern hemisphere. =P

As for the first photo that looks like a protoform…sorry, I mean a giant robot standing in a lake, that is pretty obviously a photoshop job. While there is a reflection in the water there is no shadow in the water is facing away from the sun, and there is no disturbance where the legs enter the water which there obviously would be if a giant robot were wading through it

the second, I cannot say except that if two giant robots were grappling on or next to a major traffic artery you would think it would cause some collateral damage that would be reported by the local authorities and news sources….right?

of course, this is not to say that these pics might be put out as disinformation to lead potential forces fighting these “alien infestations” on a wild goose chase away from their *real* locations…?

@BeBe: I can’t say that I see what you’re *not* seeing there, since the camera seems to be focusing in on the guy’s face, and not the thing in the water. -Kind of obscures all the finer detail in the pic.

As for the second pic, wow…. That’s scary looking! Time for me to go find a bomb shelter to wait out the eventual destruction of the planet Earth…

OMG!!!! THE END IS NEAR PEOPLE!!! ALIEN ROBOTS?!?! I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST MADE FROM TAKARA AND WERE FAKE!!! I WAS WWWWWRRRRRROOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Are they fighting?

  6. KaleidoscopeWorld says:

WTF? I’m..no, it’s really awkward.. The one who took the last photo didn’t even noticed that there were two giant alien robots fighting ??
(Keyword: Fighting = alot of MOVEMENT)

And to that guy in the two pictures above, didn’t he even care to see the first photo after he shot himself and look back to see if the angle is right ??!

*snapshot* “Oh, I’ll take another one..” *snapshot* “Ok, let’s all go home!”

Hello? Duh ?! All I can say is that all of these are hoax.

  7. Those first two pictures: Am I dreaming this? But it almost looks as though that robot has “wings”. There’s something oddly familar about the shape of its arms as well. It almost looks… angelic.

@Be Be: That bridge looks pretty empty. Maybe the area had been quarantined? It’s a thought.

  8. Re: First 2 pics.

I’m from Perth and everyone here knows all about Johnny and his crazy antics. If he isn’t witnessing meteorite showers, he’s seeing cars changing into robots and other such nonsense! He’s quite a character.

I wish there were some giant effing robots around, it’ll certainly liven up dreary ol’ Perth.

By the way, Johnnys always wearing that helmet, always.

Looking at the Flicker Stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/38855539@N05
I don’t see anything out of place in the other pictures, so I can’t comment upon Clarence’s “Johnny & his crazy antics” (although there is a pic in there of him *not* wearing a helmet); however I’d only hoped he’d taken more pictures of the “big sculpture in the lake”. Maybe zoom in a bit to get some better images of the “SCULPTURE” itself?

@Taner: That’s be “Operation: Hungry Dragon 1″ for you. Keep the truth hidden in plain sight behind the toy/comic/cartoon’s fiction. Pretty ingenious, eh? Two years ago, they began “OHD2″ and released a film to cover up their existence, again – to keep the truth buried.

  10. @Methusalen: Yeah, I have to wonder why they didn’t zoom in on the sculpture at all. Unless they were planning to come back to get more pics and it had already left.

The more I look at it, the more it seems to calm me. For some strange reason, this one’s presence seems reassuring. I can’t explain it but this one just doesn’t frighten me.
